This section describes functionality specific to the Twenty-One Encoder hardware appliance. Content to be reviewed with the product team before publishing.

This appliance features both VGA and four DisplayPort connectors, either of which can be used for display output. All Display Ports work, but it’s recommended to use DisplayPort #1 (the rightmost).

DisplayPort takes priority over VGA. When both VGA and DisplayPort are connected, DisplayPort is the primary output. VGA then remains active but may show a mirrored image, a blank screen, or different content entirely. For this reason, we strongly recommend connecting only one display at a time.

Note: To view the screen in the IPMI iKVM Remote Console, ensure the DisplayPort cable is disconnected (since IPMI displays the output of the VGA port, but DisplayPort takes priority).
