Service ID in MPEG-TS output

By clicking on the “Configure service description”, it’s possible to configure several MPEG-TS specifications of the output:

  • Transport stream ID – A unique 16-bit identifier for this Transport Stream. Used in PAT and SDT tables to distinguish streams within a network. If left empty, a default unspecified ID will be used.
  • Program number – A 16-bit identifier for the service within the Transport Stream. Called 'service_id' in SDT/PMT and 'program_number' in PAT. If left empty, the value is passed through from the input (if MPEG-TS), or a default unspecified value is used for non-MPEG-TS inputs.
  • Service name – The name of the service (e.g., TV channel) shown to users. Limited to 24 characters. If left empty, the SDT table will not include service name information.
  • Service provider name – The name of the company or organization providing this service. Limited to 24 characters. If left empty, the SDT table will not include provider name information.
